Sudan

Sudan is an Arab state located in the Middle East and North Africa. It is an ancient land that shares moments of history with Egypt. Sudan used to be under the British rule until its independence in 1956. After two civil wars, the country is now moderately at peace and is presently concentrating on rebuilding political, social and economic infrastructure.

Sudan is currently developing economic initiatives to prop up its economy after the secession of South Sudan. The latter has 80% of the oil deposits, and the split has affected the country tremendously. Agriculture is currently the priority of the government, and infrastructure must be built to accommodate the expansion.
